About

In the guise of a game, I scatter temporary traces upon the floor, with a mixture of pigments, spices, flour and glitter. Improvising as I go, I concentrate these elements into layered, rhythmic and slightly hypnotizing colour patterns that, like vibrations, disassemble the solidity of the surroundings into a porous, affecting condition. The colour patterns have a intimate, meditative character whilst being festive at the same time. As you look at these scatterings, new layers keep showing through. This allows you to simultaneously experience an arsenal of moods, ranging from tender fragility to spirited funkiness. By repeatedly recasting and attuning a kaleidoscope of colours, scents and associations (frequencies) into new configurations, I am in a constant process of developing a specific colouring (mood). This gives the work continuity, like a skin that is perpetually renewing itself. The precipitation of this game constitutes my inner landscape (floor plan) and also serves as a source of inspiration. In this playing field, the personal and universal worlds meet, with a dynamic akin to the snapping of rubber bands as I transfigure white noise into sparkling confetti and swinging garlands.
